The Hastings College Broncos fell in the GPAC semi-final round to The University of Sioux Fall by the score of 113 to 108 in overtime. The Broncos played a hard fought match, but 35 points from senior Jeremiah Slough could not seal the deal against the Cougars.

The Broncos failed to grab an offensive rebound in the first half, as they were dominated by the Cougars on the boards, but still played tough and at the end of the first half the Broncos were trailing 42-45. It was a lot of the same the first few minutes going into the second half, grabbing boards and hitting 3s, but the Broncos picked it up. The HC men came back strong, to lead 97-89 with just under 5 minutes to go in the second half, but the Cougars, just like when they beat Northwestern 94-93 on Thursday evening with an incredible last second shot, had different plans. The University of Sioux Falls stormed back and tied the game 97-97 to send the game to overtime.

The Broncos were in foul trouble and Sioux Falls had a 3 point lead with 12 seconds to go when Jeremiah Slough fouled out of the game. This may have signaled the end of the season for the HC men's team. They have to wait until Wednesday to see if they will be accepted into the NAIA national championship tournament in Point Lookout, Missouri.
