The Hastings Public School District, just like the many other large community schools in the nation is growing in population, gaining students. Not at the top, in High School or Junior High; the boom is happening in the elementary population.
There are so many new young students in the district that Hastings had to purchase temporary mobile classrooms, in the form of three slightly used modular homes. The units are just for temporary use, which is agreed upon, but where can a district at capacity fit these three overflow buildings?
